I want to care for others, like Jesus cares for me~
Read this book from Alpha and i think its really true :D
God offers us in Jesus forgiveness.
And this is a gift from God.
When someone offers us a gift, we've a choice to either accept and enjoy it,
or we can say, no thank you.
You may think you do not need God in your life cos you're happy w/o God.
But our greatest need is not happiness but forgiveness.
We all need forgiveness.
You may think that there's too much to give up.
God loves us,
and so he would only asks us to give up things which do us harm.
If my loved one were to play with a carving knife, i would tell them to stop,
not cos i wanna ruin their fun, but cos i do not want them to get hurt.
What we give up is nothing compared to what we receive.
What we give up is nothing compared to what Jesus gave up when he died on the cross for us all.
You may think there must be a trap.
People find it hard to accept that there's anything free in this life.
They think it sounds too easy and that there must be some hidden trap.
However, although its free for us,
it was not free for Jesus.
He paid it with His own blood.
You may think you're not good enough.
Non of us is good enough.
That is why Jesus came, He made it possible for God to accept us just as we are, whatever we've done in our lives.
You may think you could never keep it up.
We are right to think we could never keep it up.
we cannot by ourselves, but the Spirit of God, who comes to live within us,
gives us the power and strength to keep going as Christians.
You may say, ' i'll do it later.'
The longer we put off the harder it becomes and the more we miss out.
We'll never know whether we'll get another opportunity.
For myself, i regetted not receiving and accepting this gift from God earlier!
Why not take the first step to come before God, to accept this gift from Him :D
Life with God is truly great! There's so much more!
